Hello,
This year we will celebrate World Book Day on Friday 17th February. This is a little earlier than usual due to our Welsh week and Eisteddfod celebrations.
This year we have decided on the theme of Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes. Children can come to school dressed as their favourite characters from one of these stories or poems. There will be many literacy related activities for the children to participate in on the day.
It would be wonderful if all the children got involved, the costumes do not need to be complicated and please do not go to any expense. If your child does not wish to dress up please can they wear uniform to school this day.
We would love it if your child could either write out the nursery rhyme, or draw a picture to go with the rhyme or story they have chosen their character from. They could then bring it in on the 17th of February to show on our Book day.
Here are some links to help with ideas if you need them.
