Sarah Scannell is now the school's Family Liaison Officer alongside her role in the office. Mrs Scannell will be available on Tuesday mornings if you feel you need to come to chat about anything going on at home or within school that may be affecting you or your child/children. These touch base Tuesdays will be held each week between 9am and 11am. You are welcome to pop in but if there is a specific time you would like please let Mrs Scannell know via Class Dojo.
There are times when all of us struggle and feel overwhelmed by the things that life throws at us. Whether due to finance, housing, relationships, parenting or the juggle of everything. My role within the school is to offer support and help provide a link between school and home. I am not an expert and don't have all the answers, but I will listen and support you in whichever way I can.
I can support you with pupils school transition, help you with form filling, directing you to outside agencies and resources.
I work closely with the PTFA to help promote community spirit and develop events within the school. I also work with the school cluster family liaison officers to share resources and have worked with CAMHS in the community supporting families.
I work closely with Bethan Stote, our school wellbeing leader. We also work with our new school 'Senedd' group 'The Wellbeing Warriors' who help promote wellbeing and good mental health through the school. They are in charge of our 'Affirmation Station' and help promote positivity throughout the school
If ever you feel there is something affecting you or your child and would like a friendly chat please get in touch. We always have an open door policy, but I'm available for appointments, to come in if you ever feel there is something you need to share.
